Xtrfy introduces mousepad series based on paintings by Swedish artist

GP4 mousepad series. The story.

After launching its fourth generation of mice, keyboards and mouse bungees, Xtrfy now reveals the next step in Project 4: the GP4 mousepad series.

In 2019, Swedish gaming gear specialists Xtrfy initiated Project 4 to create their new generation of products. Since then, a wide range of products has been launched – all released in a series of different editions that allow gamers to match colors and build their perfect setups. The new mousepad follows the same theme and comes in five different versions.

“Project 4 is all about taking design and performance to the next level. We’re pushing the boundaries to make professional gaming gear more expressful. So when designing our new mousepad, why not see it as a canvas? And let one of the most expressive artists we know of turn the plain black mousepad design into vibrant art”, says Joakim Jansson, CEO of Xtrfy.

Kim Berkhuizen, respected Swedish artist from Xtrfy’s home turf Landskrona, has made a series of paintings based on the colorways of the Project 4 products.

“By interpreting the colors found on the different editions of the Xtrfy M4 mouse, I wanted to make the standard black mousepad more expressful and bring some more color to your desk”, Kim Berkhuizen explains.

In terms of performance, the goal for the GP4 is set high: Xtrfy aims at creating what they consider to be the best mousepad ever made. Shaped by years of experience in professional-grade mousepads, the GP4 introduces a cloth surface with the optimal balance between speed and control.

”The GP4 is our most ambitious mousepad ever, in terms of both aesthetics and performance. After years of making mousepads with some of the world’s top players and going through countless amounts of materials, we’ve found the sweet spot in the trade-off between control and speed”, says Erik Jensen, CTO at Xtrfy.

The mousepads will be available in stores this August, and pre-orders are now open at xtrfy.com as well as local resellers. More information can be found at xtrfy.com/mousepads/gp4-street-blue-large. The development of Project 4 in its entirety can be followed at xtrfy.com/mice/project-4
